Job Purpose GSK is looking to hire a Therapeutic Specialist for Hematology/Oncology. This role is field-based and reports directly to the Oncology Commercial Lead. The ideal candidate must reside within the territory (British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, or Manitoba) to ensure effective local engagement and coverage, with Calgary or Vancouver residency preferred for optimal territory coverage. As a Therapeutic Specialist, Oncology, you will be responsible for executing strategic business plans that drive customer engagement and maximize the value of GSK’s hematology oncology portfolio. You will lead business development initiatives, foster meaningful customer relationships, and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure the successful implementation of marketing strategies. Your ability to navigate access barriers, demonstrate business acumen, communicate effectively, and work autonomously will be critical to success. Basic Qualifications: We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals: Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, marketing, or related field Minimum 5 years of recent experience in hematology oncology or proven success launching products in competitive markets Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills Self-starter with the ability to work autonomously and drive business growth Ability to travel extensively within a large geography while minimizing windshield time Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (required for company vehicle eligibility) Exposure to cross-functional collaboration with medical, marketing, or government affairs teams Strong relationship-building skills with healthcare professionals and hospital stakeholders Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Preferred Qualifications: If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus: Experience working with key academic centers in hematology oncology Demonstrated leadership and team collaboration skills Strong working knowledge of scientific research study interpretation Proven ability to build and maintain access to a network of physicians and healthcare stakeholders This position requires the employee to drive routinely on company business and allows for the provision of a company-leased vehicle.
