The Department of Radiology and Diagnostic Imaging at the University of Alberta is a leading clinical and academic centre dedicated to excellence in medical imaging, education and research. The department provides clinical training through Royal College accredited residency programs, fellowship programs and undergraduate electives. Faculty and trainees work across a wide network of hospitals and clinics in the Edmonton region ensuring exposure to a broad spectrum of cases and advanced imaging technologies. The department supports a strong research training program with students in thesis-based MSc. and PhD. Programs. The department is home to world-class research facilities such as the Peter S. Allen MR Research Centre and the Servier Virtual Cardiac Centre which work in close partnership with FoMD Research Institutes, the Department of Biomedical Engineering (Faculty of Engineering) and the AI + Health Hub to drive cutting-edge research and exceptional clinical care.
