What you'll do: Coordinate with trade contractors and ensure project schedule progresses accordingly Create, track, and monitor look-ahead schedules. Assist Project Manager with cost tracking for non contract work Review drawings in order to foresee problems and minimize the schedule & financial impacts Establish, maintain, and control quality control standards on site Identify and escalate potential issues to the Construction Manager in a timely manner Recommend corrective actions, when necessary, to maintain project schedule and quality Enforce Onni’s Health and Safety Standards Ensure all staff and contractors maintain a safe working environment according to company policies Coordinate all activity between trades and suppliers Ensure all changes are properly documented and implemented Ensure the timely delivery of reports to Head Office Provide schedule updates to the Construction Manager on a regular basis Ensure inspections are completed throughout all construction phases, to ensure buildings meet clients’ specifications and the BC Building Code Maintain a daily construction journal Document the construction process and keep all parties informed on important issues. Effectively manage assistants, forepersons, detailers, and labourers Implement QC checks for all finishing work Summary of Qualifications & Requirements: Minimum 5 years of residential construction experience Strong sequencing experience Excellent knowledge of BC Building Code and high attention to detail Proven performance in leadership and managing both people and construction sites Demonstrated effective communication and team building skills Demonstrated ability to problem solve and proactively solve issues, juggle numerous and diverse activities, organizing and prioritizing appropriately to meet demands and expectations Successful completion of the WorkSafeBC “Supervising for Safety” online training course within probationary period Motivated self-starter who thrives in a fast paced team environment and have a desire to grow with the Company.
