As we continue to scale, we are seeking to expand our team with a dynamic Senior Product Manager (Investment Brokerage)
About the Role
As the core Product Manager for the Canadian market, you will serve as the bridge connecting local market needs with the Product R&D team at headquarters. You will need to leverage your in-depth understand of the Canadian securities market, through keen user insights, local supplier integration, and marketing support, to drive the local compliance implementation and user growth of the product. We are looking for a versatile Product Manager who understands both investment trading and has product thinking.
Key Responsibilities
- Localization Insights and Product Planning (Market Insight and Product Strategy)
Conduct in-depth research on the trading habits, pain points, and preferences of local Canadian investors, and through user interviews and data analysis, provide high-quality business insights
Responsible for competitive product analysis, tracking the development roadmap of competing product service features, and formulating product competition strategies
Responsible for the localization of product, ensure product features meet the needs of the local market.
- Collaboration with HQ R&D and Requirement Implementation
As the Point of Contact between local business and the headquarters R&D team, translates complex local business logic and compliance requirements into clear product requirements
Coordinate communication among cross-timezone teams, manage requirement priorities, follow up on development progress, and ensure that versions are delivered on time and meet local quality standards
- Vendor Management
Responsible for screening and evaluating local business suppliers (i.e. payment channels, KYC/AML compliance service providers, etc.)
Assist in promoting business negotiations and technical interface, ensuring the stable integration of third-party services into the trading system
- Market Growth and Go-to-Market and Marketing Support
Empower the marketing team from a product perspective and assist in formulating Go-to-Market promotion strategies.
- KOL and Community Operations
Assist in connecting with local financial KOLs and provide professional content support; participate in online/offline user lectures (Webinars/Seminars) as a product expert to answer users' questions an bout trading mechanisms and platform functions.
Must-Haves:
Industry Knowledge: with over 5+ years of experience in the finance/FinTech industry, has a deep understanding of the rules of the Canadian securities trading market (US stocks/Canadian stocks/options/ETFs, etc.)
Professional Knowledge: Has extensive personal investment experience, and is familiar with the local investment business system in Canada, as well as basic knowledge of taxation and compliance
Communication Skills: Possess excellent cross-cultural communication skills, capable of communicating seamlessly with the headquarters' technical team and local English-speaking partners.
Product Thinking: Possess keen business acumen and logical thinking skills, capable of deriving product solutions from business objectives.
Nice-to-Have:
Licensing Qualifications: Hold CSC (Canadian Securities Course), CPH or other CIRO related professional licenses are preferred
Product Experience: Candidates with experience in designing Internet Brokerage App products or those familiar with the back-end logic of C-end trading software are preferred
Trading Experience: Actively trades US/Canadian stocks and has hands-on experience with options or other derivatives are highly preferred.
