Improve analytical method for containment analysis for Gas turbine airfoils using energy methods and FEA in Ls-Dyna. Develop / define and calibrate ice/hail impact or blade containment in FEA in Ansys or Ls-Dyna for static airfoil made of composite materials. Goal is to achieve competitive advantage by improving analytical process and reducing development cost towards certification. What do you need to be successful? Be eligible to work in Canada Be enrolled in a Canadian university throughout your internship Be able to work on-site in the province where you are hired if applicable Pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, Aerospace Engineering programs (2nd – 4th year grade student). Relevant Courses: Mechanics of materials / Damage in Materials, Static / Mechanics of Deformable Solids, Structure & Properties of materials.
