Role description:
Our award winning High-Rise Residential Studio is seeking an experienced Associate Principal, Architect who is familiar with this sector and able to add an additional tier of Quality Assurance to the work of various studio teams across our design and production environment. Our high-rise residential studio has a global presence and is dedicated to delivering creative design solutions that elevate and strengthen the communities they serve.
Role accountabilities:
Perform thorough reviews to ensure projects meet technical quality standards, accuracy and completeness
Lead the quality assurance process on Projects
Lead document review meetings with Project teams to ensure understanding of corrections needed
Carefully monitor the use of new materials and construction methods for compliance with best practices and standards
Serve as a technical resource to staff in all phases of a Project
Serve as a mentor to the Project Architects / Project Leaders, investing in technical development in order to eliminate common errors
Maintain proficiency regarding building materials, construction methods, costs, codes, and regulatory requirements
Assist in the development of evolving best practice standards based on continuing education and lessons learned in Construction
Receive, maintain and file all original documents and keep track of all revisions on both electronic database and hard copy
Distribute technical documents to project team for review and comment.
Control issuance of documents and seek proper approval for the same from responsible Managers
Qualifications & Experience:
Architect with 20+ years’ experience in construction detailing and building science
Considerable experience working on mid to large scale mixed use residential high-rise projects
Detail-oriented with an understanding of process flow and able to handle sensitive and confidential information involving complex project documents
Ability to work well independently with little supervision - should be self-directed and be highly motivated
Strong project coordination mindset with the ability to quickly resolve problems in real time
Adept at working in a fast-paced and deadline driven environment
Excellent communication and presentation skills – both verbal and written with an ability to interact and coordinate effectively with internal and external business partners
Familiarity with Document Management procedures in collaboration with Clients' requirements - including but not limited to: Distribution Matrices, Supplier (Vendor) Data Management, Document Numbering, Filing and Archiving Procedures
Experienced with EDMS packages (SharePoint, Aconex, ProCore, Unifier), Adobe Acrobat, Bluebeam and software such as BIM360, Revit and AutoCad
Proficiency with FTP, ProjectWise, SharePoint, ISO and MS Office - PM+ experience is an asset

The salary range for this position is $$RANGE$$. The base salary represents Arcadis’ hiring range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as location, skills, experience, and qualification for the role.
