As a Training and Development Specialist within Protection Solutions, you are responsible for training all new hires to provide them with in-depth product knowledge of Affinity Markets products to successfully sell Health & Dental, Travel, and Life Insurance. You will be expected to create and modify training material as needed. You will handle pre and post training activities for both new and tenured staff, coordinating training dates, system checks, and providing regular updates on training classes and other projects. Position Responsibilities: Facilitate new hire training intakes throughout the year based on business needs. Prepare resource material and update our internal knowledgebase as needed. Plan and train to specific requirements to ensure successful transition for new hires from training to production. Demonstrated consistent use of good judgment and professionalism when dealing with sensitive, confidential matters. Provide weekly observations and recap report to leadership for each new hire and class throughout the training period. Provide post-training support, evaluation and coaching, including supplemental training sessions as per business needs. Attend internal project meetings and provide input regarding systems, processes, and product information. Attend calibration meetings in support of consistency in compliance and quality. Be the voice of the customer, and our advisors, by sharing their feedback with the greater team, and raising any suggestions, concerns, or feedback on how we can improve. Collaborate with our Instructional Design team to build engaging training content. Collaborate with all partners to ensure training material is tailored to the immediate audience. Demonstrate compliance and training excellence through updates and regular reporting. Act as a change agent for strategic initiatives within the business unit, ensuring successful implementation of training related deliverables. Required Qualifications: Fully bilingual (French/English): The successful candidate will be required to communicate in English and French in order to support clients from various jurisdictions outside of Quebec. Excellent presentation and facilitation skills both in-person and virtually. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and motivate individuals and groups. Outstanding organizational and planning skills. Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple on-going priorities in a fast-paced work environment. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with last-minute changes and maintain a positive and motivating attitude. Currently hold full LLQP license, or willingness to become licensed. Preferred Qualifications: Adult education experience, or strong knowledge of adult learning principles. Strong knowledge of insurance products including Health & Dental, Travel, and Life Insurance. Post-secondary degree in a related field, or equivalent business experience. Familiarity with CRM tools (Salesforce), learning platforms (Axonify), web-based and Mainframe applications.
