The location in Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan, Canada, is seeking talent to fill the position of Pulp Process Operator at the Meadow Lake Mechanical Pulp. This job is Permanent Full time.
Initially working in the Mill’s Warehouse driving clamp truck, the successful candidate will be expected to function in all production jobs and eventually progress to the Control Room Operator position. Onsite training will be provided.
Responsibilities:Understands and follows all safe work practices and proceduresOperate and maintain main mill equipment through continuous monitoring and troubleshootingOperate and monitor clamp trucksMaintain records of pulp production storage and complete bill of lading for trucksPerform lockoutsMaintain a high level of housekeeping standardsComplete a variety of pulp testingEnsure internal and external customer specifications are met or exceededMaintain strong communicationAssist with creation of manuals and guidelinesAssist in training and directing junior employeesAssist with plant shutdowns and start-ups as required
Qualifications:Industrial or equipment experience is considered an assetWilling and able to work 12 hour rotating shiftsAbility to work in extreme weather conditions and temperaturesCapable of working at heights and in confined spacesStrong mechanical knowledge and understandingHighly motivated and able to work independently Manual dexterity and the ability to remain standing, crouching, or bending for longer periods
