Work Location Kelowna Valens Agritech Facility About the Role Exciting Opportunity: Tradesperson As a key member of our Facilities and Maintenance team, the Tradesperson supports the maintenance, safety, and reliability of our cannabis cultivation, production, and facility operations. Reporting to the Facility Project Manager, this role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, installing and maintaining mechanical, electrical, and facility systems. You’ll work hands-on with industrial equipment, facility infrastructure, and continuous improvement initiatives in a regulated environment. What you’ll be doing: Performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and facility systems Conducting routine inspections and preventative maintenance to identify and address equipment issues Repairing, fabricating, or installing parts and supporting equipment moves or reconfigurations Supporting planned and unplanned maintenance activities and assisting external contractors as needed Keeping maintenance areas organized and completing accurate records, logs, and equipment-hour tracking Managing tools, spare parts, and inventory while following all safety procedures and contributing to a strong safety culture What We’re Looking For 3+ years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience and a valid trades certification Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and life safety systems Ability to read and interpret technical documents, including schematics and manuals Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and organizational skills Ability to work independently or collaboratively with teams and contractors Comfort using basic computer tools for work orders and communication Flexibility to work varied hours or be on call, with the physical ability to meet job demands Leadership ability to train or mentor others, with PLC experience considered an asset Why You’ll Enjoy Working With Us Flexible Opportunities: We welcome people from all backgrounds to join our diverse team.
