Job Description What is the Opportunity? Established in 2025 with a mandate to identify and pursue enterprise-wide FX growth initiatives, the FX Accelerator focuses on centralized FX Product & Innovation, and Strategic FX Distribution enterprise-wide. The VP / Director, FX Accelerator - Product & Innovation will play a key role in support of the success of the FX Accelerator and realization of RBC’s enterprise-wide FX growth ambitions. Specifically, the VP / Director, FX Accelerator – Product & Innovation will focus on execution of in-flight initiatives, working closely with RBCCM technology and delivery partners in QTS and enterprise functional partners; and product development and innovation, acting as an FX subject matter expert in the design of modern, scalable solutions. This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to help shape the trajectory and make meaningful contributions to the success and impact of the RBC FX Accelerator. As a VP / Director, FX Accelerator – Product &Innovation, a typical day might include the following: Collaborating with FX Accelerator CM leadership and LOB partners on product, innovation and strategic roadmap; Developing materials for enterprise-wide executive communication in support of continued strategic understanding and alignment; Participating in working group sessions to review and validate solution delivery and ensure timely and targeted progress in line with stated objectives; Contributing to multi-year strategic roadmap in partnership with RBCCM FX sales / trading and enterprise stakeholders; Evaluating existing and emerging fintech landscape to understand emerging trends and opportunities; Representing FX Accelerator CM leadership in various forums as needed; Maintaining strong relationships with FX Accelerator stakeholders in CM, QTS and enterprise functions; Overseeing multiple concurrent initiatives in FX Growth portfolio; Providing thought leadership on industry trends in FX and payments competitive landscape; and Driving adoption FX Accelerator-delivered products/solutions. Who We're Looking For You have a bachelor's degree and at least 7 years of experience in capital markets, strategy consulting, or financial technology; You have an expert level understanding of FX Sales / Trading, including familiarity with post-trade operations and payments / money movement; You are an energetic high-performer with demonstrable track record of achievement; You are well able to grasp and communicate complex concepts; You can adjust communication style as appropriate to suit the intended audience (eg. CM Sales and Trading; Technology; Enterprise; Executive leadership) You are naturally inquisitive and comfortable challenging status quo; You are comfortable under pressure and able to shift focus between competing priorities in a fast-paced Capital Markets environment; You are outcome-oriented, accountable, and driven to succeed; and You are comfortable driving organizational change and contributing toward consensus across diverse stakeholder groups. Nice to have Direct buy-side or sell-side sales and/or trading experience; Advanced degree (MBA, Master's) in business, finance or technology; CFA designation; Experience in FX / payments fintech and vendor management; or Digital Product Management experience.
