Job Description What is the opportunity? As part of the Group Risk Management (GRM) team, the Associate Director, Enterprise Information Management Risk (EIMR) will work with the Director, EIMR to provide oversight and challenge of Information Management (Data) risk and control environment across the enterprise with a focus on 2LOD data controls oversight. This includes oversight of data controls linked to Information Management Risk, providing support in developing an inventory of Data Controls that will help manage Information Management risk, and oversight of regulatory remediation programs as needed. What will you do? Perform independent review and challenge of Information Management controls management practices and provide enriching and value-added insights. Coordinate communications and reporting to Senior Management, Audit and Regulators on RBC’s risk and controls metrics, risk profile and key findings. Ensure appropriate logging and tracking of Information Management control oversight issues and exceptions. Support the design and development of Information Management risk and control management and oversight strategy and approach, including guidelines and processes. Assist in the development and monitoring of Information Management Risk Key Risk Indicators (KRI) and Key Performance Indicators (KPI). Partner with other 2nd Line areas such as Privacy, IT Risk, Third Party, Compliance, and Ops Risk for the development of a strong Information Management control oversight model. Establish and continuously enhance subject matter expertise in Information Management (Data) control management and governance in line with regulatory expectations. Support identification and realization of opportunities for automation and enterprise-wide alignment for Information Management risk management and oversight practices. What do you need to succeed? Must Have: 5+ years of experience in Data Governance or Risk Management with deep knowledge of banking regulatory requirements and best practices related to global data risk management practices. Highly proficient in stakeholder management with a solutions-based mindset. Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and ability to work independently. Effective time management, multi-tasking and organizational skills to meet tight timeframes as well as flexibility to adapt to changing priorities. Strong ability to influence, interpret feedback, motivate, and effect change. Nice to Have: Graduate degree or designation / certification associated with Risk Management. Audit, Compliance or control monitoring / testing experience is a plus. What is in it for you?
