Role Overview Reporting to the Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), the Finance Manager role requires a highly analytical individual with strong influencing skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering actionable insights that support strategic decision-making, while building strong relationships across the organization and balancing the needs of senior and key stakeholders. What You Will Do Provide key analysis and insights to senior management in support of driving future oriented business decisions. Work effectively with the various stakeholders as part of the quarterly forecast cycles and annual planning cycle. Play a key role in helping shape the direction of Fidelity Canada’s long-term business planning cycle. Take ownership of key areas of work and work closely and effectively with other relevant stakeholders. Be instrumental in leading efforts to advance transparency and executive level engagement across priority initiatives. Build effective and positive working relationships with key stakeholders and senior management across the organization. Support our team’s broader mandate in finding new and effective ways to approach our work (tech & transformational tools). What We’re Looking For University degree with a concentration in Business, Accounting, or Finance, or equivalent work experience. Minimum 4 years’ experience working in a financial analyst role within a finance department. Experience in financial analysis and modeling, reporting, budgeting and/or business planning. Knowledge of financial planning and analysis practices is an asset but not required. Familiarity with project management platforms and data analytics tools is considered an asset. Completion of or working towards a financial/accounting designation (e.g. CPA) and/or CFA or MBA is preferred. What You Will Bring Core Analytical & Problem-Solving Excellent analysis and problem-solving skills. Ability to convey data and findings in an easy-to-understand format. Ability to leverage other resources (internal or otherwise). Communication & Presentation Strong communication and presentation skills (verbal, PowerPoint, etc.) Ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively (storytelling, etc.) Project & Time Management Skilled in planning projects, coordinating time requirements, and meeting deadlines. Thrives in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities. Technical Proficiency Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 products (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) Advanced Excel capabilities for data analysis and reporting. Experience with workflow management and data automation tools is beneficial. Relationship Building & Collaboration Ability to establish effective business relationships across teams. Contributes to positive working relationships among team members and groups. Innovation & Adaptability Innovative and creative mindset for problem-solving and process improvement. Comfortable working with all levels of the organization. You will be working on a flexible hybrid schedule as part of Fidelity’s dynamic working arrangement.
