As we continue to grow the Scooped brand, we’re looking for a passionate, business-savvy leader to drive exceptional guest experiences, develop a high-energy team, and help us strengthen Scooped as the best destination for ice cream in the GTA.
About the Role:
As the General Manager of our Scooped Square One location, you’ll oversee all aspects of store operations, build strong teams, and drive financial success.
You will ensure that every guest enjoys the premium, memorable experience they’ve come to expect from Scooped. You’ll also work closely with our head office teams, including Marketing, R&D, and Ice Cream Production to continuously elevate Scooped as the leading ice cream brand in the marketplace.
Responsibilities:
Lead day-to-day operations of Scooped Square One, ensuring smooth service and consistently high standards in customer experience, product quality, and operational efficiency.
Hire, train, supervise, coach, and motivate staff; oversee onboarding, scheduling, performance evaluations, and ongoing team development.
Manage inventory, supplies, stock levels, and ordering; maintain strong controls over waste and shrink.
Monitor financial performance, including sales, food cost, and labour cost.
Deliver outstanding customer service: respond to guest feedback, resolve concerns, and gain deep insight into what drives
Partner with head office / marketing to execute local promotions, marketing initiatives, and seasonal flavour launches.
Support special projects and initiatives across the broader Demetres organization as needed.
Your Skills and Experiences:
3+ years of management or supervisory experience in food service, retail, or hospitality (ideally with quick-service, dessert, ice cream, café, or restaurant operations).
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills; ability to build, manage, and motivate a diverse team.
Excellent customer service skills, with a passion for hospitality and a commitment to delivering premium guest experiences.
Solid financial and operational acumen; comfortable managing inventory, food cost, and labour.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills; able to act quickly, make decisions, and maintain calm under pressure.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.
