In this role you serve as a trusted finance and commercial partner for the Service Division across your assigned geographies and global topic areas. You ensure full performance transparency and safeguard financial integrity across all reporting and decision processes. You support effective business steering by analysing and interpreting financial data, evaluating strategic and operational alternatives, and recommending the most suitable solutions. You will strengthen both actuals and forward-looking analytics by improving existing tools and defining new data analysis and visualisation requirements that support financial and commercial transparency as well as facilitate high quality business decisions. You act as the line manager for Country Finance Managers in your allocated countries and guide them in achieving consistent standards and high-quality output. You are responsible to establish, maintain and consistently enhance global standards, such as guidelines for risk, contract and business reviews, and ensure their practical adoption. The ideal candidate brings a proven track record in handling global commercial matters including POC contracts as well as complex financial aspects. In a fast-paced industrial background they have gained strong business partnering skills. They confidently engage with senior leaders and subject matter experts, provide clear financial insights showing their distinct business acumen, challenge the status quo, and proactively support fast decision-making. Your responsibilities: Strategy: Serves as business partner to local and division senior leaders in financial and commercial matters. Actively contributes to yearly Business Review Meetings to drive local business performance and support global strategy. Leadership: Line Manager of Country Finance Managers from allocated geographies. Business planning: Actively manages the yearly budgeting and quarterly forecasting process for allocated countries based on guidelines issued by the global process owner. Translates strategy into business plans and establishes ambitious as well as measurable targets. Evaluates financial implications of decisions, builds scenarios, and initiates corrective actions. Performance management and decision support: Monitor and analyse financial performance across multiple dimensions and periods (vs. Budget, Forecast, previous periods), delivering insights to support optimal decision-making on global/local level. Drive financial transparency, cost structure optimization, productivity improvements, and capital efficiency to maximize value creation. Issues early warnings of significant deviations and drives corrective actions. Commercial and risk management: - Ensures that risk and contract reviews in allocated countries are executed in line with global policies and standards, acting as deputy owner of both the global risk review and contract review processes with responsibility for defining, documenting, communicating, training and enforcing related practices while keeping legal contract templates current and in use. - Holds commercial ownership of the tender phase with responsibility for financial, commercial and tax reviews, shaping contractual agreements, advising on entitlements that protect cash flow and margins, identifying key risks, and ensuring full compliance with finance, business, trade compliance and export control requirements. - Analyses contract margins against standard transactional business and against as sold, forecasts and previous periods while ensuring high quality and on time reporting. Financial reporting: Ensures on-time provision of high-quality financial data in line with Group accounting and reporting principles (US-GAAP) for allocated countries. Supports the semi-annual assurance letter process respecting Group Controlling guidelines. Accounting and Statutory Reporting: Ensures CFMs reporting to them take necessary actions to guarantee timely preparation and filing of accurate statutory financial statements. Tax Compliance & Customs: Holds CFMs reporting to them accountable to accurately prepare and file tax returns in line with Group tax policies and local/international tax regulations while respecting local customs regulations. Compliance & Audits: Supports allocated CFMs to coordinate proactively external financial and tax audits, facilitate internal audits and act as Secretary to the local Board of Directors. FX and credit lines: Owner of the global commercial value flows including FX exposure and derivation of suitable mitigation actions. Owner of the credit risk management process within the Service Division including documentation, training, and monitoring responsibilities. Others: Finance project manager within Service Division, provides financial and commercial training to Service Division staff to promote commercial awareness, active participation at the annual Global Finance Week Your background: University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or Economics or globally recognized professional qualification in these fields. Minimum 4 years of leadership experience, ideally internationally and remotely. Minimum 7 years of work experience in commercial management, especially commercial project controlling (various medium sized projects managed in parallel) Minimum 4 years of work experience in Business Controlling or similar functions. Sound knowledge in contractual and legal matters related to customer contracts. Experienced to collaborate and succeed in an international work environment. Service/delivery oriented and with a strong business mindset. Self-motivated with a strong commitment to quality. Excellent organization skills to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, as well as within tight deadlines. A collaborative, team-oriented personality with the ability to drive change and foster cooperation. Experienced in tool and process implementations. High proficiency in MS Excel and BW. SAC, Power BI, Power Query and S4H experience is highly welcome. Understanding of data structures with ability to leverage AI and other tools to automate processes. Fluent in English.
