The successful candidate's responsibilities will include:
Lead and support data migration activities for IFS, including extraction, cleansing, mapping, transformation, validation, and reconciliation.
Collaborate with functional IFS teams to align migration logic with business and system requirements.
Develop and optimize SQL, PL/SQL, and T-SQL code to support enterprise data workflows across Oracle and SQL Server.
Build data pipelines, monitor them, and troubleshoot operational or data issues.
Review existing operations data, research open issues, and collaborate with the engineering and operations teams on new and ongoing projects.
Design tools and infrastructure to analyze large volumes of data.
Assist the team with troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and thorough defect resolution in the event of a problem.
Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and security of data within the organization.
The ideal candidate for this position will have:
Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role.
Proficiency in Python, PySpark, data modeling, ETL/ELT processes and data integration using Microsoft technologies.
Strong SQL experience with Oracle, SQL Server, including query tuning and analysis.
Advanced SQL skills for data transformation and querying on Azure data services (e.g., Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse, Fabric, Purview).
Experience with Power BI or other BI tools.
Familiarity with DevOps practices. CI/CD experience.
Strong understanding of data pipeline engineering and big data design principles.
Experience with database, data warehouse or data lake solutions.
Exceptional communication skills and ability to translate technical concepts into appropriate language for all stakeholders
