Live-In Hospitality Manager – The Cube
Operated by Revelstoke Mountain Resort
Fixed-Term Contract (January 1 – April 30) | Possibility of Extension
Wage Range: $25.00 - $26.75 Hour (Private Accommodations Provided – Included in Wage)
The Cube, operated by Revelstoke Mountain Resort (RMR), is seeking a dedicated and hands-on Live-In Caretaker to manage the daily operations of this unique, non-public accommodation property. This role includes on-site housing and a complimentary RMR ski pass, making it an exceptional opportunity for someone looking to live and work in the heart of a world-class mountain environment.
This position is ideal for either an individual or a couple interested in sharing responsibilities, provided both candidates are a strong operational fit.
ABOUT THE PROPERTY
The Cube primarily serves as contractor housing, with occasional pre-booked group business. It is not available to the general public, so all stays are arranged in advance. As business levels and arrival schedules vary, the caretaker(s) must be available for check-ins as needed.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Strong hospitality mindset with the ability to provide friendly, attentive guest service.
• Experience in hospitality, property management, housekeeping, or general maintenance is an asset.
• Comfortable with administrative tasks; Microsoft Office experience is helpful.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and respond to changing business needs.
• Reliable, self-directed, and comfortable living on-site.
• Flexibility with scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and peak operational periods.
• Ability to respond to unexpected operational needs or check-ins as bookings shift.
• If applying as a couple: both individuals must meet core role requirements.
PRIMARY DUTIES
• Oversee day-to-day operations including guest services, housekeeping coordination, and basic maintenance.
• Manage reservations, check-ins, and check-outs; ensure guests and contractor groups have the information and support they need.
• Maintain property cleanliness, safety, and organization throughout interior and exterior areas.
• Perform basic building upkeep and coordinate external maintenance when needed.
• Maintain property supplies and manage reorders.
• Prepare required reports, including incident or safety documentation.
• Serve as the on-site contact for urgent matters (with access to RMR support teams).
• Contribute to a positive living environment for contractor groups and guests.
APPLICABLE SKILLS
• Strong communication and customer service abilities.
• Excellent time management and the ability to work under minimal supervision.
• Hands-on, adaptable, and confident in a multi-role hospitality environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm during unexpected situations.
• For couples: demonstrated ability to collaborate and share responsibilities effectively.
