The Running Room Group of Companies is seeking a detail-oriented and eager-to-learnJunior Accountant to join our Accounting and Finance team. This role is ideal for someone who has foundational accounting experience and is looking to expand their skills and take on new challenges in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities
Assist with daily accounting tasks, including journal entries, general ledger postings, and account reconciliations.
Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
Help compile financial information for internal reporting and external accountants.
Ensure accuracy and compliance with established Canadian GAAP.
Respond to accounting inquiries and provide support to internal departments.
Contribute tovariance analysis.
Participate in process improvements and learn best practices from senior team members.
Other related duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications
Diploma or degreein Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Basic understanding of accounting principles and full-cycle accounting.
Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and Word.
Experience with Dynamics 365 Business Central or similar accounting software is an asset.
