Position Summary
Under the direction of the Principal Investigator (PI), the Lab manager will assist with lab maintenance, equipment support and daily operations related to cell and tissue biology projects in Dr. Komarova’s NINT 5-105 laboratory.
The lab manager will be responsible for lab organization and compliance, ensuring adherence to biosafety protocols, animal care regulations, and data management standards, will oversee cell culture maintenance, including passaging, viability assays, and standard functional assays, and will assist with in vivo experiments, including maintaining records, monitoring animal well-being when necessary and providing oversight for sample collection. The lab manager will oversee training of incoming students in laboratory safety, proper data recording and standard experimental methods. Dr Komarova’s laboratory has 3-7 regular users.
This role is supervised by the PI.
