SUMMARY Full time position working from our Estevan Fluids Laboratory. The duties are split between field sampling and laboratory work. Field sampling entails collection of pressurized hydrocarbon gas and liquid samples from our clients’ field locations. The lab work involves the specialized analyses of oilfield gas and liquid samples. Other duties would include liaising with clients regarding field sample collection, lab analyses requirements, shipping of lab samples and preparation of sample cylinders. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Must comply with Safety Responsibilities explained in the Safety Responsibility Policy (CA-ADMR-S24). Maintain confidentiality and impartiality. Maintain compliance with the Health, Safety, and Quality Management System requirements (i.e. performing /conducting activities (processes) in compliance with standard operating procedures, standard test methods and quality system procedures). Ensure that all safety infractions are reported in a timely manner. Contribute to the effectiveness of the Management Systems, including improvement of performance and reduction of nonconformities. Receive oilfield sample and log sample details into internal database system Set up and operate various types of laboratory equipment Perform specialized tests on pressurized gas and oil samples Generate lab analyses reports for distribution to company clients. Efficiently interface and communicate with clients regarding the set-up of projects, and the relevance, validity, and application of analytical testing performed, and data generated. Perform other assigned duties to ensure that projects are completed on an accurate and timely basis, including organizing workload to accommodate for the completion of prioritized analysis, and relaying the status of such analyses to senior staff. Maintain a safe, clean efficient workplace. Maintain regular communication with Calgary laboratory regarding lab analyses requirements Perform sample disposal and sample cylinder preparation Perform sample shipping, ensuring transportation regulations of dangerous goods are being followed for shipments out of Estevan Perform additional duties as requested by senior staff Interact with clients to arrange field sampling schedules. Responds to client concerns and requests. Comply with safety regulations of oilfield clients. Perform field analysis and sampling of pressurized hydrocarbon gas and liquid samples and oilfield water samples as per “Field Services Standard Operating Procedures and Forms”. Accurately complete field sampling data sheets for all field work Travel/work out of town, as required Ensures the following regarding assigned field vehicle(s): Routine cleaning. Routine Service Ensuring maintenance and repairs performed as and when required QUALIFICATIONS Post secondary diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 2 year’s combined related experience and education. Valid Driver's License KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
