Job Description: The incumbent will provide clinical addiction services to a primarily adult population however as necessary and appropriate, they may provide services to youth as well. The primary goal of this position is to restore, maintain and enhance the recovery of people seeking help with substance use problems by implementing various modalities of addiction recovery therapies. These services will be delivered through a combination of direct services, consultation, community resource development and education. Responsibilities include providing informational programming, individual and group counselling with relevant family and community members, assessing individual and group needs of clients and implementing treatment plans to assist clients in reaching their recovery goals. The incumbent assists with the development, implementation, delivery and evaluation of Addiction Services. Other related services include community education & development and the promotion of healthy lifestyles.

Degree in Addiction Counseling or another Degree acceptable to the Employer
Licenses
Valid Class 5 driver's license

Canadian Addiction Counsellors Certification Federation (CACCF)
