In accordance with the Trust/Research Academic Staff Agreement, this position has a comprehensive benefits package and an annual salary range of $92,312 - $126,931. This position has an initial appointment of 1 year plus 1 day with a strong possibility of extension.
Location - This position offers a flexible work arrangement, allowing for a combination of remote and/or in-office work based on work preferences. We welcome applicants from across Alberta. In the event that you need to work on-site, you may have the flexibility to attend either the Edmonton or Calgary offices based on your location and convenience. Position Summary
Reporting to the ABMI’s Executive Director, the Caribou Ecology Manager is responsible for implementing the mandate and strategic direction for the ABMI with respect to caribou conservation and research. The Manager for Caribou Ecology is responsible for leading the development, implementation, and management of ABMI’s caribou and other wildlife science vision to support environmental management throughout Alberta and beyond. This includes leading program design, data analysis, and reporting in active collaboration with multiple partners, including the broader academic community, provincial and federal governments, environmental non-government organizations, Indigenous communities, and industry representatives from the natural resource sector.
