Overview
Element has an opportunity for Associate Mechanical Test Technician to join our rapidly expanding team in Kitchener, ON. As a member of the operations team, the Associate Test Technician position performs a variety of routine and non-routine tests to determine the durability of interior and exterior automotive, military, and consumer goods parts and components.

Pay rate: $26-30/hr CAD
Responsibilities
Follow all safety and quality requirements
Hands on skills and general knowledge to operate hand tools and power tools
Review of technical documentation and specifications
Design, execution and installation of vibration/shock and environmental fixtures
Operation of laboratory test equipment mainly vibration/shock and environmental and others like tensile, impact, corrosion, microscopes, etc.
Laboratory notes and record keeping of all executed tests according to internal procedures
Observe and track test progress, asses tested parts, retrieve data and generate reports
Time management with a general understanding of quality systems
Skills / Qualifications
Technical college or higher degree
Technical knowledge with minimum 2 years in the vibration, sound and environmental exposure field
Excellent communication and computer skills
Organized with a keen eye for details
Self-motivated with good analytical and assessment skills
Adaptable with good time management skills working well under deadlines.
Experience in lab environment and/or technical courses towards dynamics and environmental exposures
