Position Purpose:
IO’s Loan Program is established to provide low-cost construction and long-term financing to certain eligible borrower sectors. Since inception, the Loan Program has supported over $19 Billion in project value across the province of Ontario.
The bulk of IO’s loan portfolio consists of loans to municipalities across Ontario. The Loan Program also provides financing to other sectors, including not-for-profit affordable housing, not-for-profit long-term care providers, municipally owned local distribution and electricity generation providers, hospices etc. Our projects are evident in nearly every municipality across the province. As Manager, Loan Administration, you will provide oversight regarding the funding, payment, and reconciliation processes for the Lending Program portfolio, including the ongoing development and improvement of the organization's loan system and reporting database.

What You Will Do:
Develop and enforce a standardized process that ensures the loan operations team efficiently advances loan applications from intake through funding.
Oversee daily loan processing activities, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately, on time, and in compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Conduct quality control reviews of loans’ lifecycle activities to ensure all conditions have been met and documentation is complete. Including funding, repayment, interest calculation, and Loan closing.
Prepare daily, monthly, and quarterly operational reports
Deliver management reporting to senior leadership on performance metrics and risk indicators.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and enhance customer experience.
Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to optimize operational efficiency and reduce
Resolve escalated issues and ensure superior client experience.
Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of new team members to build a strong and capable workforce.
What We’re Looking For:
Post secondary college or university education in a related discipline such as Finance/Business/Economics or equivalent work experience an asset.
Several years as a people manager in loan operations and client service in the public or private sector environment an asset.
Familiarity with loan’s lifecycle activities, including funding, repayment, interest calculation, and loan closing.
Proficiency in producing reporting and metrics for senior management
Proficiency in reconciliation processes.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Proven ability to coach, mentor, and develop staff, fostering a high-performance culture. Strong leadership capabilities, with a track record of inspiring teams, driving accountability, and fostering a positive and productive work environment.

We offer a competitive salary range of $99,800 to $149,700 (M2 level), pay will align with skills, knowledge and experience of the candidate.
