Job Description
The HR Business Partner (HRBP) plays a critical role in shaping the strategic direction of a global organization by aligning HR strategies with specific departmental goals. This role partners closely with departmental leaders to deliver tailored HR solutions that support business growth, operational efficiency, and cross-border collaboration.
Operating as a trusted advisor and strategic consultant, the HRBP is responsible for driving organizational effectiveness, talent optimization, and employee engagement across a diverse and distributed workforce. They act as a catalyst for change and innovation, ensuring that HR initiatives directly support the achievement of global business objectives while enhancing the employee experience.
By leveraging workforce analytics, global employment practices, and a deep understanding of cultural dynamics, the HRBP ensures that HR interventions are both locally relevant and globally scalable. This role champions key areas such as leadership development, workforce planning, and employee lifecycle optimization—tailored to the unique needs of each department.
This position combines strategic foresight with hands-on execution, excels in stakeholder management, and is passionate about fostering an agile and high-performing organizational culture on a global scale.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic HR Planning
Partner with leadership to align HR strategies with business goals across departments.
Analyze workforce data to identify trends and develop targeted action plans.
Champion and model company culture and core values across all people programs, ensuring they are reflected throughout the employee experience.
Lead the implementation of high-impact people programs and strategic HR initiatives that support business transformation and workforce excellence.
Employee Relations & Engagement
Serve as a trusted advisor on complex employee relations issues.
Coach employees and leaders across all levels, building strong relationships grounded in credibility and discretion.
Champion initiatives that drive engagement, satisfaction, and retention.
Lead or support investigations and resolution of employee relations matters, ensuring appropriate documentation and follow-up.
Talent Management
Guide departmental leaders through workforce planning, succession planning, and organizational design.
Facilitate talent reviews and develop customized career development strategies.
Change Management
Lead and support change initiatives with clear communication and cultural sensitivity.
Serve as a culture ambassador; driving, facilitating, and embodying organizational values in all internal programs and interactions.
Act as a change agent to reinforce transformation and resilience.
Policy Implementation & Compliance
Ensure HR policies reflect global standards while accommodating local legal requirements.
Align with HR and compliance teams to mitigate risk and ensure operational integrity.
Performance & Compensation
Collaborate on performance management and compensation strategies that support departmental and global business objectives.
Provide insights and coaching on reward frameworks and pay-for-performance models.
Training & Development
Identify department-specific learning needs and implement developmental strategies.
Deliver leadership development, compliance, and skills-based training as required.
HR Systems & Process Optimization
Manage HRIS platforms and other internal HR systems, continuously seeking opportunities to streamline processes, improve data integrity, and leverage technology for enhanced decision-making and user experience.
Contribute to the design and documentation of HR policies, workflows, and audit-compliant recordkeeping practices.
Assist with additional HR initiatives, projects, and cross-functional efforts as needed to support team objectives and evolving business priorities.
Global Mobility & Immigration Management
Oversee immigration processes and ensure compliance with visa, work authorization, and global mobility requirements.
Support international hires, transfers, and relocations in partnership with legal counsel and external vendors.
Act as a resource for employees and managers on immigration and cross-border mobility matters.
Develop and maintain policies that support compliant, efficient, and employee-friendly mobility practices.
Monitor legal and regulatory changes to mitigate global employment risks.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum 5-8 years of progressive HR experience, including experience in a business partner or consultative role with partner work in operations/field operations ideal.
Strong understanding of global HR practices, employment law, and cross-cultural management.
Proven experience managing immigration and/or global mobility programs.
Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders and drive strategic initiatives.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, HRIS systems (Dayforce), and AI tools.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Preferred Qualifications:
CPHR or SHRM-CP certification.
Prior experience in a fast-paced or growth-stage environment.
Experience supporting multiple departments in a matrixed, global business environment.
This is an office-based position with the occasional work site visits when required.
