TELUS Health Care Centres Edmonton is seeking qualified Family Physicians to provide locum coverage throughout the year. This flexible opportunity supports our team of 4 family physicians during periods of vacation, illness, and other absences, ensuring continuity of exceptional care for our patient population. As a locum Family Physician, you will have the support of a full multidisciplinary team in a modern, technology-enabled environment that prioritizes quality over quantity
Hours: 4-5 days per week, when required (flexible based on availability), 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Compensation: $1,000 daily guaranteed rate (or prorated) plus 100% of fee-for-service billings (no overhead split)

What You'll Do:
Provide comprehensive family medicine services to established clinic patients with 30-minute minimum appointment times (maximum 12 patients per day)
Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team including family physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, dieticians, lab technologists, and kinesiologists
Utilize Medaccess EMR system for thorough documentation and charting with IT support available at all times
Work with clinical care coordinators (MOA) and referral coordinators to ensure seamless patient care
Complete administrative tasks and billing documentation during allocated appointment time

What You Bring:
Required Qualifications
Medical Degree (MD) with Family Medicine qualification
Active registration in good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA)
Current registration with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
Eligibility to bill Alberta Health Care Insurance Plan (AHCIP)
Demonstrated competency in comprehensive family medicine practice
Proficiency with electronic medical record systems (Medaccess EMR experience preferred)
