In addition, you will help to develop the team to maximize individual contributions and professional growth, while functioning effectively with your colleagues. You will be responsible for the design, deployment and support of Mainframe hardware infrastructure including CPUs, Coupling Facilities, DASD, Tape systems and their related connections, management consoles and encryption devices. You will perform Mainframe Hardware configuration, hardware problem determination, and work with vendors to support changes. How you'll succeed Technical Expertise – you will leverage your solid technology expertise to creating and maintaining change records in compliance with established controls, performing hardware configuration and troubleshooting, and ensuring that all new equipment is properly delivered and integrated into the appropriate datacenters. You have a proven track record in the implementation and planning of Mainframe Infrastructure. Effective Communication – you will work to accomplish organizational goals that are consistent in supporting both IT and Business objectives, communicate effectively and patiently across technology teams to influence teams to adopt solutions to keep critical Infrastructure systems secure and operationally resilient. You will provide and document problem analysis, resolution, and prevention measures, while working closely with our external hardware vendors. You will actively participate in periodic disaster recovery exercises, maintaining disaster recovery readiness of systems, and monitoring status of systems to proactively prevent hardware related issues from occurring. Relationship Management – You will collaborate with internal business partners in Application Development, Infrastructure, IT Operations, and IT Production Support to accomplish organizational goals that are consistent in supporting both IT and Business objectives. You will work directly with Hardware and Software vendors on solutions, build your network, and deepen existing relationships. You will leverage your verbal, written, and presentation communication skills to build strong partnerships, while influencing participants to mutually beneficial outcomes. Who you are You can demonstrate experience in managing the full lifecycle of Mainframe hardware delivery and maintenance, including coordinating external vendors for hardware planning , setup, vulnerability management, and disaster recovery support. You also have strong knowledge and experience with z/OS concepts and facilities as well as Hardware Management Console setup and configuration experience. You are able to define new LPAR & CPU Activation profiles and related load IODF definitions. You’re a certified professional. It is an asset if you have current accreditation and good standing in IBM Badge/Advanced Certification in Mainframe. Your influence makes an impact.
