Job Overview The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst is a senior individual contributor within the BI & Analytics team. The role: Designs, develops and maintains BI solutions (dashboards, reports, data models) for Canada and relevant Group entities. Translates complex data from Salesforce, trading platforms, Workday and other systems into clear, actionable insights. Supports management with performance analysis, budgeting and forecasting through robust data and reporting. Drives continuous improvement in data quality, reporting efficiency and analytical capability, including use of AI / LLM tools. Key Responsibilities A. Business Intelligence Strategy & Delivery Work with the Head of Revenue Operations, BI and Analytics to deliver the BI roadmap for Canada and relevant Group entities. Translate business requirements into data, metric and reporting specifications. Design and deliver standard reporting suites (e.g. revenue, margin, client, product and channel performance). Ensure BI outputs are consistent with finance and accounting policies, and where applicable reconcile to financial statements. Review and challenge existing KPIs and reports and propose enhancements to improve decision-making. B. Data Modelling, ETL & Governance Work with technology, data engineering and Salesforce administrators to maintain reliable data pipelines from Salesforce, trading platforms, Workday and other systems into BI tools and data warehouse environments. Design and maintain semantic models / data marts to support self-service reporting and analysis. Ensure Salesforce data (e.g. accounts, opportunities, pipeline, activities) is correctly mapped and reconciled to financial and operational data. Implement and monitor data quality controls and resolve data issues in a timely manner. Contribute to data governance, including documentation of data definitions, business rules, transformations and KPI logic. C. Reporting, Dashboards & Visualisation Work with technology, data engineering and Salesforce administrators to maintain reliable data pipelines from Salesforce, trading platforms, Workday and other systems into BI tools and data warehouse environments. Design and maintain semantic models / data marts to support self-service reporting and analysis. Ensure Salesforce data (e.g. accounts, opportunities, pipeline, activities) is correctly mapped and reconciled to financial and operational data. Implement and monitor data quality controls and resolve data issues in a timely manner. Contribute to data governance, including documentation of data definitions, business rules, transformations and KPI logic. D. Advanced Analytics & Insight Generation Perform deep-dive analysis on revenue, margins, volumes, client behaviour and operational efficiency. Support budgeting, forecasting and scenario analysis through the provision of structured data and analytical models. Perform segmentation and cohort analysis (e.g. new vs existing clients, products, industries, geographies) to support commercial strategies. Prepare clear, concise presentations and written commentary for management and Group stakeholders. Where appropriate, evaluate the use of AI / ML techniques and LLM-powered tools for pattern detection, summarisation and commentary, ensuring all outputs are validated against trusted data sources. E. Stakeholder Management & Communication Act as a primary BI contact for Finance, Revenue Operations, Sales and other internal stakeholders. Manage and prioritise BI enhancement requests and communicate progress and timelines. Present analytical findings and recommendations in a clear, business-focused manner. Liaise with Group BI / IT and external vendors to align tools, standards and data structures. F. General & Project Work Contribute to and, where appropriate, lead cross-functional projects where data and analytics are key enablers. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of BI tools, AI/LLM capabilities, data platforms and visualisation practices. Document and periodically review BI procedures, models and dashboards. Demonstrate ownership and accountability for assigned tasks and deliverables. Business Knowledge / Technical Skills: Typically, 3–6+ years’ experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics or a similar role, preferably in financial services, payments, FX, banking or another regulated environment. Good understanding of financial and commercial concepts (e.g. revenue, margin, cost allocation, forecasting, KPIs). Experience working with CRM data, ideally Salesforce, including sales pipeline, opportunity stages and account hierarchies and their link to revenue reporting. Ability to translate business questions into structured analytical and data requirements. Familiarity with data modelling, dimensional modelling, data quality and data governance. Experience with large, complex data sets and reconciliation of data between systems (e.g. CRM, trading platforms, ERP/GL). Comfortable working in an environment that uses AI and LLM-based tools to enhance analysis and reporting, with a focus on validation, controls and explainability. Systems / Knowledge Skills: Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables and ideally Power Query / Power Pivot. Strong experience with at least one modern BI tool such as Power BI, Tableau or similar (Power BI preferred), including data modelling and interactive dashboard development. Practical experience with Salesforce as a key CRM and data source Working knowledge of SQL for data extraction, transformation and validation. Familiarity with ERP / finance systems (e.g. Workday, Oracle, SAP) and operational systems (e.g. trading or payments platforms) is an advantage. Experience with Python, R or similar for analysis or automation is desirable. Confident using AI tools and LLMs (e.g. ChatGPT, Copilot or similar) Exposure to basic machine learning concepts or tools (e.g. forecasting, clustering, propensity models) is an asset but not a core requirement.
