Job Description
Operate a Class 1 commercial vehicle to provide pickup and delivery services to our established customer base in Melfort and surrounding areas
Ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods while adhering to all safety regulations and company policies
Perform daily pre-trip, post-trip, and en-route vehicle inspections to maintain vehicle safety and compliance
Accurately complete and maintain all required paperwork, including delivery receipts, logs, and incident reports
Utilize Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) to track hours of service and ensure compliance with transportation regulations
Practice proper load securement techniques to ensure cargo safety during transit
Provide exceptional customer service, including professional communication with clients and problem-solving as needed
Maintain a clean and organized vehicle, ensuring it is properly stocked with necessary supplies
Report any vehicle maintenance issues or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel
Participate in regular safety meetings and training sessions to stay updated on industry best practices
Collaborate with dispatch and other team members to optimize route efficiency and delivery schedules
Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records of financial transactions when required
Represent the company professionally through appearance, behavior, and adherence to company values
Qualifications
Class 1 license required
Ability to complete proper pre/post & inter trips
Knowledge of ELD (Electronic Logging Devices)
Knowledge of hours of service
Knowledge of load securement TDG & WHMIS
Must have good customer service skills
Must be reliable, dependable, and hard-working
Must be able to provide a clean criminal record check, drivers abstract and, 2 work-related references
