About the Position:
The Events Supervisor is responsible for the strategic planning, marketing, promotion and execution of S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Foundations three annual signature events: Bridge to S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Gala, Walk with the Dragon, and S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Foundation Charity Golf Tournament. This position also supports the team with additional event needs. The Events Supervisor will coordinate the work of event workers (contractors) and volunteers and will work collaboratively with the Senior Manager to develop

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Overarching responsibilities
Develops strategies for existing events while planning new events and initiatives that complements S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Foundation’s strategic plan and direction
Develops and executes a holistic marketing plan to increase fundraising and event awareness
Develops and conducts pre and post event analyses to measure the effectiveness of event execution
Develops request of interest and grant application
Other related duties as instructed by the Senior Manager
Event Management
Develops and supports the planning, production, implementation, evaluation and reporting activities for the Foundation’s events
Engages and liaises with events’ committees to ensure events are delivered in a quality that grows the S.U.C.C.E.S.S. brand reputation and maximizes revenue generation
Collaborates with the Senior Manager in developing and implementing special donor cultivation and stewardship events
Attracts, screens, and coordinates the work of event workers(contractors) and volunteers
Oversees and manages activities during events, including, but not limited to, staging, volunteer management, audio-visual production, and silent/live auctions
Assists and supports the team in developing a marketing plan that effectively promotes the organization’s events, programs, and services
Oversees the execution of event sponsorship activation
Supports the development of sponsorship fulfillment reports and conducts fulfillment meetings with sponsors
Education, Training and Experience:
Post-Secondary degree or diploma in fundraising, event planning, marketing and/or related discipline
Minimum of three years of experience managing fundraising events and activities
Experience in event staff (contractors) / volunteer coordination and leadership
Experience in marketing and fundraising is an asset
Knowledge of technology and terminology relating to event hosting
Knowledge of event evaluation
Knowledge of event financial management
Knowledge of Donor Perfect is preferred and other fundraising databases is an asset
Job Skills and Abilities:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Second language knowledge is an asset
Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills
Excellent leadership capabilities
Excellent resource, time management, and organizational skills
Excellent technical skills in MS Office and web-based applications (e.g. MS Teams and Zoom)
Ability to design, plan, and execute events
Ability to develop and adhere to event budgets
Ability to connect, engage, and build relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders and partners
Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
Ability to handle challenging situations with tact and diplomacy
