Position Details: The Senior Insurance Specialist Associate is responsible for the management and oversight of all operations related to insurance, including total loss and credit life claims, insurance deficiency tracking, and ancillary products cancellations. The role ensures accurate processing, compliance, vendor coordination, performance tracking, and supports the day-to-day operational requirements across insurance workflows.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Insurance Deficiency
Track lease VINs and ensure accuracy of data files sent to vendors
Perform quarterly vendor compliance reviews
Execute follow-up actions for insurance-deficient accounts (calls, SMS, email)
Coordinate repossession assignments when required
Produce performance metrics for all follow-up activities
Insurance Claims
Manage relationships with insurance companies to process total loss and physical damage claims
Process Proof of Loss documentation and maintain claim records
Ensure compliance with internal SLAs
Coordinate credit life insurance claims and produce related metrics
Ancillary Products Cancellations
Process ancillary insurance cancellations and rebates with third-party vendors
Collect required metrics from vendors
Support transition of ancillary cancellation processes in-house
Other duties as assigned
Experience working for an automotive captive finance company with understanding of lease and loan operations
Experience with insurance companies or involvement in insurance claim processes
Bilingual in English and French (must)
Education & Certification:
College degree preferred
High school diploma required
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Advanced user of LOS and V8 systems
Strong understanding of auto lease agreements and conditional sales contracts
Subject matter expertise in lease and loan operations
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
Ability to manage customer interactions and handle inquiries, conflicts, or complaints
Ability to resolve issues without defined processes and find compliant solutions
Strong prioritization skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to transfer knowledge effectively to support team growth
Ability to collaborate across departments and build strong relationships
High level of emotional intelligence with effective conflict-management skills
