Norton Rose Fulbright Canada LLP is currently seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to work in our Vancouver Office. The primary responsibilities of the position are outlined below: The Role: The role of the Accounts Payable Clerk is to ensure accuracy of invoices and expenses entered in Emburse and SAP, to co-ordinate any payments required in the local office and to provide customer service to internal and external clients. By handling a large volume, the candidate will need to be able to manage several simultaneous requests and deadlines. The individual will be working with other Accounts Payable staff in other offices to ensure Canada-wide coverage for all AP-related requirements and processes. You will be focusing on: Supplier invoices and expenses: Providing support for coding of invoices and expenses in Emburse Troubleshooting any issues related to the creation and submission of expenses and invoices Completing entries in SAP or Emburse as needed Validating and verifying account statements Validate the nature of expenses against firm policies Audit and approve Visa account Corporate Credit card charges for local office through Scotia Suite and WEX V-Pay program Sharing tax requirements knowledge to the business (legal assistants, lawyers and administrative staff) Overseeing the proper tax handling (ITC) on expenses and invoices Provide training and support to legal assistants, lawyers and administrative staff Contact vendors for bank confirmation and tax registration confirmation Coordinate the annual renewals for miscellaneous and law society memberships Upload registration and search invoices to SAP (weekly and daily transactions) Payment responsibility for rush items and requests for the office What you bring to the role: College diploma in accounting or university studies in a similar field 5+ years of experience in a similar position Practical accounting and sales tax knowledge Basic computer knowledge (SAP, Excel, Emburse) Organizational skills and sense of accountability Vancouver Salary: $45,181 - $73,426. Salary will be discussed and negotiated during interview and will be based on experience.
