Job Description: Reporting to the Manager of Mental Health and Addiction Services, the incumbent is responsible for the screening and coordination of initial service requests for all programs within Mental Health and Addictions Services in the former health region. The Intake Facilitator provides screening, triage, assessments for urgency/risk, and coordinates case assignments. The position facilitates crisis response and short-term support for services to clients presenting with a variety of mental health and addictions issues. The Intake Facilitator provides consultation to Community Agencies and Programs regarding services available in Mental Health and Addiction Services. "Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement"

Experience Experience working with mental health and addictions clients Education Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) Licenses Valid Class 5 driver's license Other Education and Training Bachelor of Nursing is acceptable Psychiatric Nursing diploma is acceptable Bachelor of Social Sciences is acceptable Bachelor of Addictions Counseling is acceptable Bachelor of Psychiatric Nursing is acceptable Competencies Basic - Crisis management skills Intermediate - Computer skills Intermediate - Time management skills Advanced - Interpersonal skills Advanced - Organizational skills Basic - Assessment skills Advanced - Communication skills Knowledge and Abilities Ability to act professionally, ethically and provide sound judgement Knowledge of normal and abnormal development Knowledge of human growth, development and human behavior.
