As a Mining Operations Manager, you’ll oversee Finning’s service operations on remote mine sites within Finning’s territory. You’ll provide clear and effective leadership, foster a safe work environment, and deliver targeted levels of customer satisfaction. We also offer additional incentives such as an annual bonus and premium for certain shifts. Job Description: Champion a healthy and safe work environment by ensuring compliance with all safety practices, policies, and training requirements. Conduct monthly safety audits and lead initiatives to meet or exceed TRIF and LTI targets, striving for zero incidents. Provide clear and effective leadership to branch employees through role guidance, coaching, mentoring, and performance management. Share Employee Opinion Survey (EOS) results, solicit feedback, and develop action plans to improve engagement. Manage day-to-day branch operations, including planning, scheduling, and execution of field and shop repairs. Oversee branch financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting on key metrics related to People, Quality, Velocity, and Cost. Ensure successful execution of Finning’s Service Excellence Operational process and customer service commitments. Resolve customer issues promptly, including goodwill settlements, warranty variances, and service re-dos. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to maximize recovery of components from Caterpillar and OEM partners. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, union representatives, and internal teams to foster collaboration and operational success. Day-to-Day Activities: Monitor operational KPIs and communicate results to branch employees. Engage with customers to ensure satisfaction and resolve concerns. Review service work and invoicing, managing contract execution where applicable. Support employee development through training plans and career growth opportunities. Ensure compliance with provincial safety standards for service trucks. Requirements: 8–10 years of supervisory or leadership experience in a technical or operational environment. Previous experience in repair execution and service operations. Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to expand technical expertise. Proven leadership, coaching, and team development skills. Financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cost management. Thorough understanding of labor relations and grievance resolution processes. Leadership for Safety Excellence training is an asset. Important: Based out of our Prince George branch location or other suitable locations (negotiable).
