Position: Massage Therapist Type: Full Time Seasonal, Contract Location: Albreda Lodge, Blue River, BC Reports to: Fitness and Massage Manager Overview: The hospitality business catering to the elite is a highly competitive business in which consumer tastes change dramatically. Our company is built on customer loyalty due to the high levels of service and a very positive image. In order to maintain this image we must constantly strive to improve our facilities and product to ensure we maintain a competitive edge. Responsibilities: Responsible for all appointments booked and paperwork. Checking schedule as times may have changed during the day. Be ready to work in Massage department minimum 20 minutes before first scheduled appointment at 4pm and 815pm, with all necessary paperwork complete. On call minimum two days a week. Responsible to lead guests through a 30-minute stretch routine in the morning, on scheduled days. If for any reason the massage therapist is unable to lead stretch class, it is the responsibility of the therapist scheduled to provide minimum 24 hours written notice to the Fitness & Massage Manager. It is also the responsibility of the therapist covering the stretch class to provide confirmation in writing that they will be taking over the stretch class. Responsible for all paperwork including and not limited to making notes on all massages given and attached to guests health profiles, all invoicing; guest invoice (must be signed by guest at time of massage) paper work to front desk the night that the massage takes place, keeping track of hours and rates to be handed in bi-monthly. Maintain a clean work environment, fill personal oil containers and re-fill containers as needed. Responsible for setting up Chalets during the day when guests are away for any scheduled Chalet massage that day. Act in a professional and ethical manner always. Must have hours submitted to Massage Supervisor on Friday every week before 8pm. Must be dressed professionally and appropriately. No provocative clothing. Vest and name tag must be worn over clinic attire which is black pants (opaque tights allowed) plain black t-shirt (no spaghetti straps, tank tops or cleavage showing). No denim permitted. Black shoes/runners. All staff are expected to be team oriented and maintain confidentiality of all information gained while working with the company. Qualifications: Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) preferred. Experience evaluating and adjusting treatments. Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar position. Must be able to work in a team environment. Ability to complete daily administrative tasks and maintain an orderly work environment. Available to lead morning stretch classes. Polished presentation and high level of grooming. Proven ability to work in a dynamic and challenging work environment. Strong interpersonal skills, organization, and attention to detail. Attributes include personal integrity, self-motivation, and a persuasive and positive personal image. Effective communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization. High degree of resourcefulness, flexibility, and ability to work under pressure.
