Responsibilities
What your day looks like as a Logistics Coordinator:
Coordinate all port operations and vessel activities
Inform our clients and vessels about local and national regulations to ensure an efficient voyage
Update information related to smooth operations (Port Info, port fee calculation software to produce pro forma invoices, etc.)
Represent shipowners and/or charterers of foreign vessels
Provide support to shipowners and their crew during port calls
Be present at all times for the arrival and departure of vessels under your responsibility
Prepare customs declarations and all port documentation required for vessel operations
Ensure the production of customs declarations and any other documentation related to port operations necessary for the vessel
Make sure operations are carried out in accordance with the rules and procedures of the LOGISTEC Group and LOGISTEC Marine Agencies
Qualifications
To succeed as a Logistics Coordinator, you must have:
A minimum of two (2) years of experience in customer service
Intermediate proficiency with the MS Office suite
Intermediate oral and written skills in English and French required; Given the diversity of our team and the need to communicate with local, pan-Canadian, and international clients and partners, proficiency in both French and English, spoken and written, is essential
Ability to work independently, strong team spirit, and good judgment
Strong organizational skills and ability to make quick decisions
A valid driver’s license
Availability to work day, evening, and night shifts
