HEABC leads and supports the strategic planning related to human resources and labour relations on behalf of British Columbia’s publicly funded health employers. HEABC is responsible for negotiating provincial agreements for 138,000 unionized health care employees including nurses, physician residents, ambulance paramedics, health science professionals, and more.
Health Match BC is growing and expanding the recruitment services it provides for in-demand and priority occupations. This includes new recruitment services and supports for registered nurses. OPPORTUNITY:
HEABC has an opportunity for a 12-month contract for a Recruitment Consultant, Nursing. Reporting to the Manager, Nursing Recruitment, Health Match BC, the Recruitment Consultant, Nursing plays an integral role in the sourcing and recruiting of nurses and provides expertise and advice on credentialing and registration requirements, job search and immigration options.
The Recruitment Consultant supports candidates through the recruitment process – from sourcing to onboarding and works directly with our provincial partners to connect them to the most appropriate job opportunities for their lifestyle and needs. You will screen candidates for licensure, provide guidance and track candidates throughout the screening, referral, and selection process, and support both employers and candidates with referral and immigration processes.
You will be a strong communicator with demonstrated ability to think critically, solve complex problems, keep diligent records and collect and report statistical data.
Required Knowledge and Experience
University degree, preferable related to Human Resources, Business Administration, or Social Services or another relevant degree
Five (5) to seven (7) years recent related experience in the healthcare sector providing expertise in recruitment, HR strategies, analysis and problem solving, immigration expertise or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Demonstrated customer service skills are a must, along with the ability to provide strategic consultative advice, problem solve and facilitate resolutions within unclear guidelines and established frameworks.
You must be able to research and present issues, effectively prioritize work, make formal presentations, communicate verbally and in writing, and possess good computer software/hardware related skills.
National and international travel may be required.
Salary Range: $74,618 to $97,937
Typical Hiring Range: $74,618 to $93,273
In determining salary, HEABC considers many factors including the successful candidate’s skillset and experience as well as internal equity. The final salary offer will be at HEABC’s sole discretion and presented as part of a competitive total compensation package.
