The Director of Training & Development will be responsible for managing training operations, delivering onboarding and training in customer relationship management, process/system training, and driving content development and cross-department collaboration. Responsibilities
Provide leadership for the development and implementation of training programs for all staff
Conduct workshops, webinars, in-person training events focused on business systems, customer relationship management and sales processes
Work with all departments to refine and maintain onboarding processes
Re-delivery of Pattison University content
Manage the Training Manager and team
Drive Dealer Capabilities and P4P Goals
Create and refine training plans as needed for different job responsibilities
Oversee expenses and training costs
Track training effectiveness using KPIs and feedback mechanisms
Recommend improvements based on observed trends and team performance
Refine and maintain on-boarding plans and schedules
Keep up to date on knowledge of business/sales systems, John Deere University courses, Sales and Retail Finance incentives/programs and billing processes, product offerings from John Deere and Shortline partners, build codes and machine configurations
Adhere to privacy policies; handle company/customer data with confidentiality
Maintain positive professional working relationships with peers, management in all departments, support resources with commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service
Requirements
Strong leadership skills with ability to lead through influence
Excellent training/presentation, customer service and interpersonal skills
Extensive knowledge of Farm/Agriculture systems relevant in AOR
Ability to manage tasks; project/goal oriented with solutions-based approach, strong work ethic
Positive attitude and empathetic
Self-aware with high level of Emotional Intelligence (EQ)
Technical experience diagnosing and repairing basic electrical products
Ability to use MS Office desktop and internet applications
Experience analyzing and interpreting data and reports
Highschool diploma/equivalent required, Agriculture/Business/Engineering Degree preferred
Ability to work flexible hours, varying shifts, weekends and holidays, including extensive travel within and outside of Canada
Must have a valid Class 5 Drivers License, and valid Passport
