About the Position:
The ECE Facilitator supports parents and caregivers with children between 0-6 to learn positive parenting styles to create safe and nurturing environments to raise their children, as well as bridge to early childhood development resources.”
Reports to: Senior Program Manager
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Planning, organizing and co-facilitating the Nobody’s Perfect Program and Mother Goose Program.
Assisting the program to promote and recruit participants.
Providing support regarding goal setting, lesson planning and use of available resources.
Keeping program records of attendance, hours of activity and other statistics as required.
Preparing program reports to submit the Program Coordinator upon completion of the Nobody’s Perfect and Mother Goose program.
Assisting in the evaluation process of programs.
Preparing refreshments before each Nobody’s Perfect and Mother Goose session.
Preparing the physical space before and after each group session.
Performing other program tasks as assigned by Senior Program Manager.
Education, Training and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Social or Human Sciences
Certification in Mother Goose and/or Nobody’s Perfect is preferred
Knowledge of local community resources is an asset
Knowledge of early childhood development, family relationships and dynamics
Certificates in CPR and First Aid recommended
Experience in leading and co-facilitating in-person and online sessions
Job Skill and Abilities:
Strong group facilitation skills
Excellent interpersonal and intercultural communication skills
Able to work independently and as a team
Excellent time and resource management skills
Strong computer skills including various online platform (Microsoft Teams, Zoom and etc.)
Ability to work with individuals and communities facing cultural adjustment challenges
Ability to create, and maintain client records and reports
