KEY OBJECTIVE:
The Underwriting Analyst will support our Commercial Insurance business in Canada and work directly with the Underwriting Services Manager on a broad range of tasks and strategically important functions. This role will focus on project implementation as well as underwriting data consolidation for various underwriting initiatives. The Analyst will build and leverage project management skills, including but not limited to Canadianizing systems, piloting, and synthesizing user experience data. The successful candidate will be expected to act as a technical resource to the team as well as assist in data entry/ consolidation.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide business analytics support to Commercial Insurance;
Utilize multiple Chubb systems to aggregate and analyze data, generate reports and present information to provide actionable insight for CI management regarding business transactions as well as regulatory and compliance mandates;
Bulk data entry, operational liaison tasks such as booking and remittance clarifications;
Assisting in building out project plans, process mapping and general project administration;
Conduct quarterly compliance audits for all branches and identify and report trends to management;
Identify business opportunities and underwriting project needs to facilitate the initial analysis, implementation, and evaluation across CI;
Design internal job aids and workflows/process diagrams for a variety of underwriting practices
Aid in building small-scale macros and automation initiatives;
Manage and assist with the CI’s underwriting tasks including catastrophe-exposed property analysis and supporting enterprise and key accounts.
