Cosmetic Merchandising Specialist Opportunity – For Major CPG Client

Brand Momentum is currently looking for an experienced Cosmetic Sales and Merchandising Specialist. This position is in Kitchener/Cambridge and requires availability to work 16 hours per week.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Determine call schedule by reviewing priorities with supervisor, discussing special instructions, product promotions, new products, and price changes.
Maintain customer relationships by visiting store managers, department managers, and employees; answering their questions; responding to special requests; and describing product features.
Maintain store shelves by observing displays of company products; removing damaged or freshness-dated products; tidying shelves; and providing optimum product displays.
Maintain inventory by restocking shelves from inventory and observing inventory levels.
Complete call reports while in-store.
Assist field sales representatives with special promotions by setting up displays at aisle ends; monitoring daily promotions; observing customer reactions; forwarding observations to management; and removing promotions at the end of the promotional period.
Maintain quality results by following and enforcing standards.
Enhance merchandising and organizational reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Pivot to ever-changing responsibilities in the field. Each week we will have different expectations, and flexibility is required to adapt to short notice and evolving duties communicated via email from your supervisor.
Quickly adapt and problem-solve at the store level, making decisions with support from your direct manager.
Knowledge of vendor-managed products is an asset but not required.

Access to a vehicle is mandatory.
Previous merchandising experience (6 months – 1 year).
Great communication and selling skills.
Merchandising experience focused on Walmart, drug, and grocery channels.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships.
Ability to maintain a professional demeanor with the public and store personnel.
Detail-oriented and extremely organized.
Comfortable using reporting tools and computer applications (Excel).
Flexible and adaptable to an ever-changing market environment.
Potential for overnight travel when necessary.
Ability to lift to 15 kg and stand for several hours to complete in-store work when needed.
