To do that we need to recruit, develop, engage, retain and reward an agile workforce to drive performance and your role will play a critical role in making that happen. This is a hybrid position, combining the best of both worlds - working from home and spending time in our Halifax office. This is a full-time role, but we would also consider part-time candidates at 30 hours per week, over 4 days. Drive engagement with company benefits; monitor uptake, and enhance our reward offering in line with the reward strategy. Lead benefit renewals and annual enrolments, managing third-party providers and brokers, with support from the Head of People Services & Insight. Act as the go-to expert for reward and benefits, resolving employee queries and providing clear guidance. Support annual performance bonus and pay review processes. Lead benchmarking and job evaluation exercises, advise stakeholders, and ensure consistent application of the reward structure. Partner with payroll to ensure smooth handovers and handle complex escalations. Maintain all reward documentation, intranet content, Teams channels, and benefits platform. Deliver benefit cycles (e.g., Cycle to Work, holiday buy/sell) and publish Total Reward Statements. Create and execute communication plans to help employees maximise their benefits. What will help you stand out? Proven experience in Pay & Reward, with a strong understanding of compensation strategies and benefits frameworks. Skilled in analysing large, complex data sets and translating insights into actionable recommendations for improvement. Expertise in influencing and negotiating contracts to deliver cost-effective solutions and maximize value. Hands-on experience with job matching and benchmarking methodologies (e.g., Willis Towers Watson). Advanced numerical and analytical capability, including expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Exceptional stakeholder management, with clear and confident written and verbal communication skills. In-depth knowledge of UK pay and benefits trends, coupled with a solid grasp of relevant legislation. Highly organized and self-driven, able to manage competing priorities and deliver to tight deadlines. CIPD/CIPP/Pay qualification (or equivalent experience) preferred. Strong understanding of what attracts and retains top talent, with a proactive, resilient, and action-oriented approach. Not sure if you tick every box? That’s okay!
