We’re seeking a Packaging Supervisor to join our Packaging & Quality team in Kelowna. This role is well-suited for a proactive manufacturing professional who is ready to deepen their leadership capability, take on people management responsibility, and expand their operational skill set within a stable, well-established organization.
You’ll be supported by an experienced leadership team and work alongside other supervisors, with opportunities to build confidence across people leadership, operational standards, and continuous improvement initiatives. Strong communication, curiosity, and a team-first mindset will set you up for success in this role.
The opportunity for this teammate -
Join a well-structured operation with clear standards, systems, and leadership support
Lead a unionized team of approximately 20 teammates, alongside three experienced supervisors
Build capability across people leadership, SOP development, and process standardization
Gain exposure to production scheduling, operational planning, and cross-functional coordination
Take part in continuous improvement, efficiency, and cost-optimization projects as your experience grows
Shape your development path — whether toward technical depth, analytics, or broader operational leadership
What this teammate will be responsible for -
Lead and support unionized Packaging teammates, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant operations
Host shift start meetings, engage teams, and clearly communicate daily priorities and expectations
Address performance and quality issues directly and respectfully, reinforcing accountability and standards
Support people management and administrative activities, including documentation and performance reviews
Contribute to SOP creation, updates, and process standardization, partnering with leaders and training teams
Assist with production scheduling and coordination
Participate in continuous improvement and higher-efficiency initiatives, with increasing ownership over time
Experience, skills and knowledge the ideal teammate will bring =
Experience in manufacturing
Experience in food, beverage, or CPG environment an asset but not required
An interest in growing your people leadership and operational management skills
Strong communication skills and the confidence to engage teams and lead shift conversations
A proactive, adaptable approach and comfort working in a fast-paced environment
Willingness to work within — and learn the nuances of — a unionized setting
Curiosity around process improvement, data, and operational efficiency
About the facility and team
This role supervises unionized staff of Canrim Packaging Ltd., a division of Andrew Peller Ltd. We are located within the Calona Wines/Sandhill Winery facility in downtown Kelowna.
Established in 1994, Canrim Packaging has been providing bottling and packaging services for nearly three decades. The facility specializes in bottling and packaging a variety of Andrew Peller branded beverages, including wine, cider, and other alcoholic and non-alcoholic products.
In addition to our premium wines, we also specialize in the production of International Domestic Blend (IDB) wines, which combine high-quality international and Canadian wines. This process allows us to offer a diverse portfolio that meets consumer demand while maintaining the highest standards of winemaking excellence. Our IDB wine products include Cooper Moon, Honest Lot, and XOXO, in addition to our popular cider brand, No Boats on Sunday.
