Are you detail-driven, collaborative, and energized by supporting complex construction projects? As a Project Accountant, you’ll play a key role in the financial success of our Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) and Joint Venture projects. Working closely with Project Managers, Coordinators, and Accounting partners, you’ll help ensure accurate financial tracking, timely billings, and strong controls that support project outcomes from start to finish.
This position may be based in any Chandos office (Calgary, Edmonton, Red Deer, Kelowna, Vancouver, Toronto, Ottawa)
Job Description
What You’ll Do
Own the processing of supplier invoices and ensure timely, accurate payments.
Prepare bi-weekly EFT and credit card payment runs.
Act as the primary contact for the accounts payable inbox, responding to inquiries and resolving issues efficiently.
Reconcile vendor statements and investigate discrepancies.
Maintain organized and compliant accounts payable and receivable records.
Post project-chargeable costs in alignment with contract requirements.
Prepare monthly billings and detailed backup documentation.
Partner with Project Management, Accounting, and IPD partners to ensure billings are accurate, complete, and submitted on time.
Set up, track, and follow up on insurance requirements for IPD projects.
Contribute to continuous improvement by supporting additional tasks and initiatives as assigned.

Qualifications
Business Administration or Accounting certificate/diploma or 1-2 years’ experience in Accounts Payable and/or Accounts Receivable
Computer literate, with strong data entry skills and effective working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
