As the Material Handler, you will work on the manufacturing floor to assist in the production and assembly of equipment. You will be in close communication with various departments within the organization and will help coordinate the efficient flow of materials and finished goods into and out of the production process.
Location: 1403 Dundas Street, Woodstock, ON
Dedicated Day Shift: 7:00am – 3:30pm, Monday - Friday
Job Duties
Safely and efficiently move raw materials and finished products between departments, maintaining the flow of production
Perform daily inspections of material handling equipment (forklift, walkie), and report any minor or major damage to the equipment
Organize and maintain 5S in storage areas both within the plant and outside
Review paperwork to locate parts and transport them to departments throughout the plant
Follow written directions and interpret schedules, shipping documents, and drawings
Communicate with project managers and supervisors to understand production schedules
Skills and Experience
Adapt to a changing work environment with competing demands and able to deal with frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively
Effective organization, problem-solving, and time-management skills
Keen attention to detail, an outstanding work ethic, and the ability to multi-task
Physical requirements including driving (80-90%), standing, and climbing
Understanding of MRP/ERP systems are an asset
Potential exposure to weather changes (hot, cold, wind, rain, etc.) when working outside
Qualifications
Previous material handling experience in an industrial setting
Prior forklift training and experience is required
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively
Keen attention to detail, an outstanding work ethic and the ability to multi-task
