Job Description & Responsibilities: Develop and implement automation systems, including HMI and supervisory control systems. Integrate third-party process models and systems into existing infrastructure. Collaborate with other engineers and cross-functional teams, including Operations, Quality Assurance, and Engineering, to identify and implement process improvements. Support software development and data visualization projects. Ensure data quality, security, and availability in collaboration with the IT team. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. 3-5 years of experience in process automation including software development. Must be eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer in Saskatchewan. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES Strong background in process engineering and automation systems. Experience with software architecture and systems integration. Proficiency in software development using programming languages such as Python, R, and .NET. Knowledge of data visualization tools and data science techniques. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Familiarity with EAF-based steelmaking, hot strip rolling and/or tubular production processes. Our total compensation package includes amazing benefits!
