provided a base hourly rate of $25.00/hour Operators will be eligible to receive
premiums starting at $5/hour, when performing winter maintenance operations Work
Conditions Must be located with in 30 minutes of the shop due to the location
of the work As we respond to various weather patterns, on-call including night
shift will be required. This is an on-call, weather dependent position with no
guaranteed hours in a week. CLAC union position Essential Responsibilities
Operate snowplow trucks, wheel loaders, and other heavy equipment as required
Maintain Ontario Provincial Highways year-round, including assisting with
Labourer duties (pothole repair, guardrail repair, bridge and signage cleaning,
hazard remediation, etc.) Work outside in all weather conditions
Qualifications Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks, including
lifting50lbs on a regular basis, bending, kneeling, crouching etc. Valid AZ or
DZ driver’s license with air endorsement Provide a copy of a 3-year commercial
driver’s abstract Previous experience operating a snowplow truck and/or wheel
loader is a strong asset Work Conditions Must be located with in 30 minutes of
