Clerical Assistant, College of Nursing
Summary: The College of Nursing is the largest non-departmentalized academic unit and among the most distributed, with programming across 10 geographic locations in the province. Reporting to the Dean’s Executive Assistant, this short-term casual position provides specialized clerical support in preparation for the Canadian Association of Schools of Nursing (CASN) Accreditation visit in March 2026. This role involves working closely with College of Nursing faculty and staff to ensure that faculty Curriculum Vitae (CVs) are fully updated in the University’s electronic CV management system (UnivRS). UnivRS includes a self-serve, web-based CV management module with predetermined sections and fields that capture educational credentials, grants, publications, presentations, teaching dossier, etc.
The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to work independently, to solve problems collaboratively, and to maintain a high standard of attention to detail with timely deliverables. This position provides proficient and respectful support services within a professional academic unit. The work hours are flexible depending on availability of required materials for entry and can be completed during non-standard business hours (evenings and weekends), if mutually agreed. The work can be performed at the USask campus in Saskatoon, Prince Albert or in a hybrid work arrangement from any location in the province.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for updating College of Nursing Faculty CVs in the UnivRS system
Document management: gather CV information from a variety of sources; interpret or clarify the information for entry into the appropriate section of the CV; enter the information into the web interface; validate accuracy and completeness of entries
Timely and effective communication with a variety of stakeholders, including nursing faculty members as CV owners, fellow support staff as CV delegates, and UnivRS system admins for technical troubleshooting
Other related tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
Completion of Grade 12 and a recognized one-year post-secondary business/administrative program. An equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered
A minimum of one year’s experience working in a fast-paced, multifaceted office environment is preferred. Previous experience working in a university environment would be beneficial
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word) is required
Experience with data management systems is an asset

Strong communications skills, professionalism, and organizational skills are essential.

Salary: The salary range, based on 1.0 FTE, is $23.35 - 30.61 per hour. The starting salary will be commensurate with education and experience.
