JOB TITLE: Regional Sales Manager (Western US and Canada)

LOCATION: Fully Remote, Located in California. Salinas or Monterey preferred.
COMPENSATION: $80,000-$110,000 annual salary + Sales Incentive Plan

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Responsible for all sales activities, account management, customer service, and
goal achievement for assigned territory/region.
- Actively engage with customers ensuring continued sales, opportunities for
sales growth, product knowledge, issues to be resolved, and overall customer
satisfaction
- Source customer prospects and develop into productive customer relationships
- Communicate sales opportunities to sales department and other Verdant staff
as appropriate
- Manage personal daily activities to meet sales goals
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers ensuring high degree
of satisfaction through excellent service, insights and product/industry
expertise
- Achieve monthly targets and commits to sales results
- Carefully review customers’ product volume reports and work directly with
customers to build sales volume
- Support Field Technical/R&D as needed with trial coordination and execution
as needed
- Other duties as assigned
WHAT IT TAKES TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
- 3-8 years of experience working in an Agricultural industry
- Degree in Business, Agriculture, Engineering, or similar
- Willingness to travel 40-50%
- Must have or be willing to obtain a passport for international travel
- Intermediate level Microsoft Office skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to adapt messaging across all
organizational levels
- Ability to work independently as well as a member of a team
- Ability to multi-task
PHYSICAL & WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to
sit, stand, walk, talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move
up to 25 pounds. Some domestic and international travel by air and automobile
required. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions
and moving mechanical parts when visiting customers, greenhouses, farms, or
packaging facilities. The noise level in the work environment is usually
moderate, however, the employee will sometimes be subject to loud noises while
in the plant environment.
