Position Overview: The Manager, Workforce Operations is responsible for creating and maintaining effective labour models to ensure optimal allocation of resources across the organization. This role involves collaborating with field teams, Store Support Centre teams, and business units to design labour strategies that drive sales and enhance the associate and customer experience. Key Responsibilities: Labour Model Management • Leverage mathematical and statistical background to develop and maintain labour models for optimal resource allocation so as to maximize expense dollars through the labour management system. • Implement strategies to support sales and improve associate/customer experience. • Monitor the detailed analysis of data collected and past trends to determine long and short-term staffing needs for stores across the Canadian Division. • Develop change management guides for new labour model rollouts. • Ensure smooth implementation of labour model changes through strong project management practices. Analytical & Strategic Decision Support • Create and provide analytics around labour models to senior leaders for informed decision-making. • Collaborate with US and Canadian teams to benchmark approaches and share best practices. Labour Studies & Assessment • Develop and conduct labour studies across various departments to assess effectiveness. • Travel nationwide to conduct studies and monitor project progress. Productivity & Cost Strategies • Lead productivity initiatives and develop cost-out strategies. • Work across the organization to enhance productivity measures. • Review labour/financial analyses to determine which departments have potential to be more productive. • Conduct cost/benefit analyses to understand the effectiveness of various initiatives. Talent Development & Coaching • Mentor and develop team members to enhance their skills and career growth. • Provide regular feedback and conduct performance reviews for direct reports. • Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment. Cross-functional Collaboration • Partner with field and business teams across the organization to integrate labour strategies. • Engage with business teams to align labour initiatives with organizational goals. • Facilitate workout problem-solving sessions with multiple groups of people. Communication & Reporting • Communicate project status and findings to leadership and stakeholders. • Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations as needed.
