Catholic Social Services is currently recruiting for a full-time (40 hours/week), Team Leader position in our Red Deer Immigration and Settlement Service. As a Team Leader at Immigration and Settlement Service, you are to provide leadership, supervision, and support to team members to ensure successful program delivery and outcomes. The successful candidate will be responsible for different programs such as Resettlement Assistance Program, Reception House, Needs and Assets Assessment and Referral Services, and Information and Orientation Program.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Oversee day-to-day operations of RAP, the RAP Reception House and NAARS and I&O programs, including staff scheduling and operational coverage
Ensure the safe, organized, and efficient functioning of the RAP Reception House, including oversight of supply orders, work orders, and accommodation availability
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and narrative reports to meet program and funding requirements
Comprehensive client service planning and delivery (e.g., preparing shift schedules; ensuring adequate staff coverage; identifying client/community needs and trends and adjusting programming accordingly; etc.) .Key program outputs and outcomes are met (e.g., supervising client databases and ensuring accuracy and timeliness of client information; collecting and analyzing client quantitative and qualitative data obtained through client satisfaction surveys, workshop evaluations, focus group narratives, etc.)
Ensure serious occurrences and incidents are documented and escalated to the Program Manager in a timely manner
Supervise, support, and provide leadership to team members
Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal programs and external partners
Represent the Agency professionally at meetings and community tables
Be available to support operational needs during evenings and weekends, as required
What this job requires:
Degree in Human Services, Social Services, Social Work or equivalent.
2 years of supervisory experience.
Experience working with newcomers to Canada is an asset.
Additional relevant certifications or designations are considered an asset.
Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
Fluency in a language other than English is considered an asset.
Experience in Resettlement Assistance Program, Reception House, Needs and Assets Assessment and Referral Services, and Information and Orientation Program are considered an asset.
Police Information Checks, including vulnerable sector searches and Intervention Record Checks, are conditions of employment
Clear and Current Drivers Abstract
A vehicle and valid class 5 driver's license – requirement to transport clients in your personal vehicle
Proof of Vehicle Insurance showing $2 million liability coverage
Proof of Vehicle Registration for insured vehicle
